About me
¡Hola! I'm Julieth
I'm a native Spanish speaker from Bogotá, Colombia. I'm passionate about languages myself — I speak Spanish, English and Italian — so I know exactly what it feels like to be on your side of the lesson.
I hold a diploma in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and I'm a certified Professional Teacher on italki, where I've been teaching since 2017: more than 8,000 lessons with 450+ students all over the world.
I genuinely love my job. I keep updating my methods, create my own materials, and seeing my students make progress is what makes me proud and happy 💛.
Outside class you'll find me listening to music, spoiling my pets, planning my next trip or reading a good book — and yes, they all make great lesson topics.

A typical 55-minute lesson

First half — grammar & vocabulary
We work on new structures, words, listening and pronunciation. No dusty textbooks: I create my own presentations, games, quizzes, PDFs, audio and video.

Second half — real conversation
We put it into practice with role-play and entertaining conversations. My classes are interactive — no awkward silences!

After class — notes & homework
You get a personalised Google Doc with notes from the lesson, plus homework to keep you moving between classes.

How long are the lessons?
Regular lessons are 55 minutes, and General Spanish is also available as a 90-minute session. The trial class is a quick 20 minutes.
Do you teach children?
Yes! My specialty is teaching adults, but I'm happy to teach younger learners too — just get in touch and we'll plan the right lessons together.
Are you a certified teacher?
Yes — I hold a diploma in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and I'm a certified Professional Teacher on italki, where I've been teaching since 2017.
I'm a complete beginner — can I still join?
¡Claro que sí! My Spanish from scratch lessons (A1–A2) start from your very first words: pronunciation rules, useful vocabulary, how to introduce yourself and more.
Do we speak only Spanish in class?
As much as possible — it's the fastest way to learn! I switch to English or Italian only when you really need it, so you'll never feel lost.
How much does a lesson cost?
The 20-minute trial is $14. Regular 55-minute lessons go from $25 (Conversation) to $35 (From scratch), with General Spanish at $27 — or $39 for the 90-minute version. Prices are always up to date on the booking page.
How can I pay for a lesson?
Lessons can be paid with PayPal. If you don't have PayPal, get in touch and we can arrange a different payment method.
Can I book through italki instead?
¡Claro! I've been teaching on italki since 2017, and all my lessons can be booked there too. If you prefer italki's booking and payment system, just book from my teacher profile — same me, same lessons.
What happens if I miss a lesson?
Life happens! You can reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before the start. Without that notice the lesson counts as taught and can't be refunded — I'll wait up to 15 minutes for you.
How will I remember when my lesson starts?
Every booking comes with a calendar invite, and you can opt in to free email or text reminders.
